Lawsuits, the local uproar in several counties, high taxes, cease and desists from the Bureau of Cannabis Control, plummeting prices, and an overall unsteadiness in the California cannabis industry as a whole. With the Independence Day holiday at Lake Tahoe, it seems as if all of California can be found on our roadways and beaches. Tahoe is both the place we call home and where Medicine Box gains perspective through inspiration. California will implement adult-use cannabis in 2018. However, legalization at the state level left a lot of work at the local level. Each community has the opportunity to write its own regulations. Nevada County recently put together a Community Advisory Group (CAG) to help guide us forward as California legalizes cannabis.
