This week the Medicine Box Tribe made our debut at the Cannabis Business Summit & Expo in Oakland. We had an amazing educational experience and we’d like to offer our profuse thanks to everyone for making us feel right at home.
We want to thank every single person who stopped by our booth. The support we received this week means so much to us. Thanks for taking the time to sample our products and for giving us the opportunity to share them with you.
We have so many people we want to keep in touch with — look for emails from us early next week. In the meantime, we’d like to highlight a few of the people we met this week.
First, Gavin Newsom’s keynote speech was inspiring. It’s wonderful to feel like we have a leader that makes an effort to understand the cannabis movement instead of blindly pushing legislation. You can listen to his speech right here:
The first person to welcome us was Anna Lisa from Desiccare. Her booth was across from ours and she made us feel welcome from the moment we started setting up through the very end of the expo. We had to go all the way to Oakland to learn that Desiccare is a local company based just over the hill in Reno.

On Monday, Kevin and Jay from Cannabis Reports stopped by our booth and asked if we’d be interested in doing an interview with them. Obviously we said yes. (Who doesn’t want to be interviewed by Cannabis Reports?) It was the first interview for our company, so a huge thanks to the Cannabis Reports team for making it so much fun for us.
We were lucky enough to get some time with Terri from Lake County Magazine and Otis from All In Radio. We’ll share the links to all our interviews as soon as they go up. We also met Farley from MG Magazine and Ashleigh from Dope Magazine — we can’t wait to work with you!
You may have noticed that we’ve never mentioned where to find Medicine Box products — that’s because we haven’t released them yet. That’s going to change very, very soon though. We had some great conversations with Jason from Tradiv, Mark from Calyx, Infini from Harborside Health Center, and Emily from Greenly and we’re excited about what the future holds.
We also want to thank Manuel Cordeiro at Designer 151 Studios for our branding and packaging and Andy Cline at Roundwood Furniture for the custom booth set-up. Thanks for bringing our vision to life — we love what you do for us.
The Cannabis Business Summit & Expo was overwhelming in the best way. We still have stacks of business cards and notes to sort through, but exciting things are on the horizon. Next week we’ll tell you all about our new products.
